DPDP Compliance

Laws of Learning India is committed to respecting your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). This page explains how we comply with the DPDP Act and how you can exercise your rights as a data principal.

Scope and Applicability

The DPDP Act applies to the processing of digital personal data within India. While Laws of Learning India does not collect or store personal data through user registration or forms, we may inadvertently collect limited digital personal data through automated means such as web analytics, server logs, or cookies. This page outlines how we handle such data in compliance with the DPDP Act.

Your Rights Under the DPDP Act

  • Right to access: You may request confirmation of whether your digital personal data is being processed.
  • Right to correction: You may request correction or updating of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure: You may request deletion of your digital personal data, where applicable.
  • Right to grievance redressal: You may file a complaint if you believe your rights have been violated.

How We Comply

Laws of Learning India does not maintain a database of personal information. We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other identifiers through forms or accounts. Any data collected automatically (e.g., IP addresses, browser type, or cookie identifiers) is used solely for analytical purposes to improve website functionality and is not linked to identifiable individuals. We do not share such data with third parties for profiling or targeted advertising.

Data We Process

Under the DPDP Act, the only data we may process includes:

  • IP addresses (anonymized where possible)
  • Browser and device information
  • Usage patterns via analytics tools (e.g., page views, session duration)
  • Cookie identifiers (for functional purposes only)

This data is not used to identify individuals and is retained only for as long as necessary for website operation and security.

Legal Basis for Processing

Our processing of digital personal data is based on legitimate interest under Section 6 of the DPDP Act, specifically to ensure the proper functioning, security, and improvement of our informational website. We do not rely on consent for this processing, as it is not feasible or necessary given our non-interactive, informational nature.
